These last couple weeks have been pretty darn good ones, which you'll know if you follow me on Twitter (oh, sorry, "X"). For instance, you'll know I've been playing Baldur's Gate 3 like a fiend. And just last night, I finally finished it.
Having a new, awesome piece of media to interact with has been great for me. I've had a lot of creative energy, I've been sleeping better, and the fatigue that comes with my health problems has seen improvement. I've tried to take some inspiration in order to practice my art, and I feel like seeing the characterization in the game has helped me expand my thinking as a storyteller. There's definitely stuff I can learn here about writing characters like Veshal. As a creator, it's definitely good to immerse yourself in media that does stuff well and makes you eager to create.
I've also been working more with my super-secret writer, and our first Bloodkin short story will be coming SUPER SOON! Keep your eyes open for its September publication. I'm very excited to be able to put this story out there for everyone to enjoy, and I'm even more excited to give you guys a Bloodkin tale you can finally fully sink your teeth into. It will take place about a century before the main story, during a very important historical event. I hope it will give people a chance to get to know the world a little better.
And of course, keep your eyes open for Sins of the Mother to launch later this year. I'm hoping to get it out at the end of October, but at the latest, it'll come by Christmas. Thank you everyone for your patience, and I appreciate those of you who've shown love and support for my characters so far. I hope to deliver more and more going into the future.
